It’s Time to Celebrate!04/14/2012

These past several months at FBCER have been very exciting! We have seen people begin a life-changing relationship with Jesus, we have added many new families and we have seen many more people take their faith to next level! We realize what God is doing here is not normal and we praise and thank Him for working in our midst and we have decided to take a night to focus on and celebrate what God has done.

On Sunday, April 29th at 5:30pm we will be having our “SGLI Celebration.” We will have a meal catered in from Rib Crib, worship and pray together and hear several of the success stories from this past year. If you are a part of small group at FBCER, we would love for you to come. Childcare will be provided for 5th grade and down. If you plan on coming please fill out the form below.

New Sermon Series: The Holy Spirit04/04/2012

What do you know about the Holy Spirit? Is the Holy Spirit a what or a who? What does he do? Is he really God or just a force? These are all questions that we will answer in our upcoming series on the Holy Spirit.

Chances are you have probably heard very little about the Holy Spirit in church.  A lot of this has to do with where you grew up, how you grew up, and even the time in which you grew up, but reading through the Bible you cannot deny the work of the Holy Spirit of God; over 90 times he is referenced in the OT & over 250 in the NT. You can look at the life of the early church in the book of Acts and realize they were nothing apart from the work of the Holy Spirit of God. Then there is John 16:7 where Jesus says, “…it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper (Holy Spirit) will not come to you.” He must be important for Jesus to say that, right?

In our upcoming series that begins April 15 we are going to look and the Holy Spirit and answer questions like “Who is he?” and “What does he do?” We hope you come every week and that your heart is enlightened and encouraged as we learn about the 3rd person in the trinity, the Holy Spirit.
