Students
El Reno Student Ministry exists to lead students to BE followers of Christ, to Do what He would do and Go where He would go. Out of this mission statement comes our three purposes; BE, DO, & GO. Everything we do as a ministry flows from those three purposes.
We offer three separate and distinct opportunities a week for students to learn and explore what it means to be a follower of Christ. On Sunday mornings we offer Small Groups @ 9:30 that help the students learn how to apply biblical truth to real life situations. On Sunday Nights, we focus on taking discipleship to a deeper level through specific studies on things relevant to students. On Wednesday Nights we offer a safe place for students to come and explore the Christian faith through our service called REFUGE. We offer a REFUGE service for 6th-8th graders at the Youth Annex which is led by Derek McCarver, our Middle School Minister, and a REFUGE service for 9th-12th graders led by Tyler Kelley, our Student Pastor, at the Youth Center.
In addition to Sunday Mornings, Sunday Evening and Wednesday Nights, we participate in other activities and events. These include Discipleship Weekends, Super Summer, Falls Creek, fellowships, mission trips and many other events.
