Origins & History

First Baptist Church of  El Reno has existed for over 100 years. We have been preaching and proclaiming Jesus since October 12, 1890. Over the years God has grown the church from the twelve who began the work to an average of 500 – 600 people that gather weekly to worship and then disperse to live out the gospel in a world that desperately needs it.

What We Believe

In a world where people claim that there is no absolute truth we hold on the truth that there is. God is truth and He has given us His Word as our source of truth.  Everything our church believes is founded in the Bible.  What you believe about the Bible, God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are very important.
