A Word from Pastor Charlie
October 4, 2017
I have several responsibilities to you as your Pastor. One of them is to challenge you. To challenge you to be people of God. To challenge you to love and obey his word. To challenge you to devote your lives to Him and to serve others. To challenge you to put the sin in your life to death, that you might be holy and set apart for Him. I hope we take seriously the call to “walk worthy” of our calling through the Lord Jesus. (Ephesians 5)
Another one of my responsibilities is to encourage you and build you up. As I write this I think about the growth I have seen in many of your lives over the years and especially this year. As we have sought to be Devoted, your growth and faithfulness to the Lord is evident in your life. Growth manifests itself in so many ways, but one of the ways I see it particularly in many of you is your willingness to walk in obedience to God’s Word. I see it in your hunger for his word and worship. It is evident in your willingness to serve without being asked and in looking for ways to use your gifts. I guess what I am trying to say is, “Keep it up!” Keep seeking and serving our Lord. Make him the focus and joy of your life. Live your life devoted to Him.
For His glory and your joy,
Pastor Charlie
