FBCER hosting weekend event to both challenge and deepen your faith.

Do you know why you believe what you believe? Can you tell somebody why you believe what you do? In 1 Peter 3:15 we are encouraged to “always [be] prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you“. We live in a world that is no longer Christian and if your faith hasn’t been challenged it likely will be some day. Our hope is that all followers of Jesus would know why they are following Him and that they would also be prepared to defend their faith with “gentleness and respect”. With that reason in mind we are having an Apologetics Weekend on April 16 & 17 with Brett Kunkle from Stand to Reason.

Brett will share with us three different times during the weekend. On Saturday, April 16 we are gathering together for a meal at 6:00pm. Brett will discuss the challenges that are coming for this next generation with his talk “Who’s Waiting for You?” (This will be a great session for parents with kids in the house and teenagers.) Brett will be sharing “Why I Am a Christian” during both our morning worship services on April 17 and  we will conclude on Sunday evening at 6:00pm with “Tactics in Defending Your Faith”.
