Convictions

Convictions

September 2, 2020

From Grant Findley, Lead Pastor:

As I sought the Lord about what we should study first as a church body, one word kept coming to mind: Convictions. Convictions are those beliefs and opinions that are deeply rooted within us. We live in a day and age where convictions are plentiful and public. A short scroll through Facebook will prove my point!

These deep-rooted beliefs are necessary and important. Consider that 12 men, empowered by the Holy Spirit, convinced that Jesus was the Son of God, changed the entire world. Convictions are necessary and we all have them—the question is do our convictions align with scripture? Over the next several weeks we will explore this question in our message series:  Convictions.

My hope for this first series is two-fold. First, I hope that you will come to understand my heart and the core convictions that guide me as I lead and pastor this wonderful church. Secondly, I hope that you will evaluate your own core convictions to see how they align with God’s Word.

I am looking forward to spending more time with you and humbled to be here as your pastor. Grant F
