Helping the world know Christ

We believe every Christian is called to be a missionary. God has given us the mission of making disciples by following the example of Jesus, meeting tangible and spiritual needs both in our community and across the world.

Local Missions

We encourage and challenge every believer to live their lives on mission for Jesus and that starts first and foremost in our community of El Reno. Living missionally will look different for every person and we encourage each person to discover how God wants to use them. However, we have several specific ways we reach out to our community. Some are listed below.

Shepherd’s House

A weekly ministry that allows people in need to come and shop for clothes and basic needs. The Shepherd’s House is located at 359 S Choctaw Ave, El Reno, OK 73036. It is open every Tuesday (except 5th Tuesdays and holidays) from 10:00am-2:00pm and 5:30pm-7:30pm.

The Dental Clinic

A monthly ministry that allows people to receive a free tooth extraction. The Dental Clinic is located just North of The Shepherd’s House. It is first come, first serve and is open on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 6:00pm-7:00pm.

SWORD Ministry Team

This team is led and coordinated by our deacon body but is made up of many of our members. Together they focus on serving those who are single, widows, orphans, retired, or disabled in our church and in our community, meeting basic physical needs.

GRAZE

A weekly ministry on Wednesdays that allows students to get a free bag of food after school. Graze is hosted out of the FBCER Youth Annex which is located at 399 S Bickford Ave, El Reno, OK 73036.

Foster Care Support

We take God’s command to care for orphans very seriously and partner often with Youth and Family Services and their foster families. We meet needs through the Canadian County Care Portal and have foster care support teams to aid the foster families within our church.

Global Missions

While we do not neglect sharing the gospel with our community, we also believe God has called us to take the gospel to the ends of the earth. This also looks different for each person. For some, it means going on one of the trips we offer. For others, it means supporting those who go financially. But for all of us, it means praying for the lost in the world and praying for those who are proclaiming the good news to the ends of the earth.
