Let’s Get Ready for VBS!

April 24, 2013

Every summer hundreds of kids come through our halls for Vacation Bible School. VBS allows us the opportunity to share the gospel with children and teach them about following Jesus.

VBS doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because a lot of people do a lot of work to make it happen. So, even though VBS isn’t until June 24-28, it is time to start preparing and getting ready for another great year. Below is a list of ways for you to get plugged in and prepared for VBS.

Volunteer

We could use help in many different ways from preparing snacks to assisting in a class. All VBS volunteers must have a current background check on file. If you are interested in helping at VBS please contact Wes Martin.

Spread the Word

We need everyone that can to be a spokesperson for VBS. We need you to tell everybody you know with kids about our VBS and invite them to be a part. We will have many different ways for you to get involved in the future, (such as yard signs) but until then, just use the best marketing gift out there, word of mouth.

Training Night @ Kingfisher

Our association is offering a VBS training night on April 30 at FBC Kingfisher. The training will consist of mock-ups of room decorations, taste-testing of the VBS themed snacks and a chance to win VBS-themed prizes. We will be taking the bus and all VBS volunteers are invited to go but are not required.

Training Night @ FBCER

On Sunday, May 19 at 5:30pm we’ll be having a night of training and preparation for all our VBS volunteers in the fellowship hall. All volunteers are needed at this important night of training.
