Operation Christmas Outreach

November 22, 2011

This Christmas our church desires to make the holiday season a little bit brighter for the residents of Grace Living Center, Care Living Center and St. Katherine’s. Many of the residents have no family and do not receive any type of gift during the Christmas season. FBCER wants to fix this problem.

We are encouraging our small groups, families or individuals to consider providing a gift for one of the residents. You can provide a gift by buying the suggested items (listed below), wrapping them and putting them under the Christmas tree in the glass foyer or you can make a donation of $15 per gift to the church. If you wish to make a monetary donation just simply put your gift in envelope and mark it “Christmas Outreach” and turn it in to the offering plate or church office. We are trying to deliver gifts to all 150 residents. We need all gifts and donations turned in by Sunday, December 11th.

On Wednesday, December 14th the church will deliver the gifts, sing Christmas carols and bring joy to the residents of Grace Living Center and Care Living Center. We are inviting all people 6th grade and up to be a part of this night. We will meet at the church at 5:45 and assign people to one of the nursing homes and then we will head out and be at the nursing homes from 6:00-7:00pm.
