Summer Sermon Series
May 31, 2017
Every summer we take the time to walk through a book of the Bible together. This summer we are going to work through Paul’s letter to Timothy. Timothy was one Paul’s closest friends and one whom Paul had spent much time in discipling and preparing for work in the ministry. Paul wrote this personal letter to Timothy after 15-20 years of apostolic ministry and church planting. He gives Timothy instruction on how the church of God is to operate and how we are to conduct ourselves as the people of God, as we meet and gather together.
My goal as the pastor of FBCER has been for us to be a people who passionately pursue Jesus Christ and who seek to find joy through obedience to God’s perfect, authoritative word. God will always be glorified in our lives when we walk according to his plan and will, and that is where we will find the most joy possible for our lives. Let me encourage you to read through this short letter and prepare your heart for how God desires to speak to us through His word.
For His glory and your joy,
Pastor Charlie
