Summer Time @ FBCER

June 1, 2019

School is out which marks the beginning of the summer break and all the ministry opportunities that accompany it. I want to take a moment and share several of our key summer ministries, that may be more than informative and give you something to pray for. Our desire in these ministries is that God would be glorified and disciples would be made.

Mission Santa Cruz – On June 2nd, a mission team of 24 from our church will leave to spend 6 days in Santa Cruz, CA to help our church plant, Santa Cruz Baptist Church. We will engage in a week of service projects helping the church impact their community and advance their gospel presence.

Family Movie Night – On June 14th, families will gather at Adams Park for a family movie night featuring the original Toy Story. This open invitation event is for families in our community to connect and enjoy a fun evening together.

VBS @ FBCER – June 24th kicks off one of the greatest opportunities we have all year to share the gospel with kids in our community. Hundreds of kids will gather every day for a week and get to hear about the hope of Christ through interactive teaching from Scripture. This week we will faithfully sow, water, and hopefully harvest the fruit of Gospel seed that is being scattered.

Falls Creek – JH and HS students will be spending a week in the Arbuckle Mountains at Falls Creek for summer camp. All week long students will be encountering the truth of the living God through his living Word. JH will go July 8-12 and HS will go July 15-20.

Beginnings Sermon Series – This summer we will also start a new sermon series entitled “Beginnings” which will be a study through Genesis. It is imperative that we understand our Creator, where life began, the effect of ‘the fall’, and God’s response and plan of redemption. We will be covering this and more in our study through Genesis.

We encourage you to serve, pray, and be involved in our summer ministry opportunities at FBCER. This will
accompany our weekly gatherings where we exalt the Lord Jesus and seek to follow him in discipleship. Don’t
treat summer as a break, but a time to dig in and grow.

For His glory and your joy,
Pastor Charlie
