YFS Partnership Dinner

October 9, 2014

FBCER beginning exciting new partnership with community organization.

At FBCER, we are always looking for ways to show the love of Christ and minister to our community. One of the ways that we do that is by partnering with existing groups here to aid them in the work they are doing. One of these examples is our local school system. We partner and work to make a difference in the lives of children in our community. This is where ministries like Shoes for School Kids and mentoring in Students Striving for Success come from. We are excited to share with you another potential partnership in our community. Youth and Family Services (YFS) is a local non-profit that helps children in need who have been taken from their families due to family struggles. They utilize foster care and counseling to work to reunite children with their families but also with DHS in placing children in adoption. They also have an emergency shelter where children are housed until arrangements are made.

On Sunday, November 9th, at 5:30pm we are hosting the YFS Partnership Dinner where YFS will share with us some potential ministry opportunities. These opportunities ranging from serving as a volunteer in the shelter, to church-wide projects, to becoming foster parents. Our sincerest hope and prayer is that you will come and listen to this exciting new ministry opportunity and pray about where you can get on board and serve. Please put this on your calendar and RVSP below to let us know that you are coming.

God has called us to make a difference in the world. We start in our community. There are hurting children & families all around us. Please join us for a time of fellowship and important information about a new ministry partnership.
