Expanding Our Reach to Make Disciples.

The Story

In January 2010, FBCER made the bold decision to relocate. After a year of gathering at El Reno High School, we moved into our new home in 2014. The cost to build our current facility was $5.4 million, and through a combination of initial fundraising and proceeds from the sale of our old property, we financed $3.5 million. Thanks to the faithfulness of God and the generosity of this church family, FBCER made the final payment on that loan in December 2022!

As we neared the end of the loan, many in our church family began asking, "What’s next?" The building was designed with future expansion in mind, and many felt a growing sense that God was leading us to expand. Then, God miraculously provided in a way that exceeded our expectations. We received an unexpected gift from the Lloyd Anderson Trust in 2023 in the amount of $1.5 million! We took this as God’s nudge to begin developing plans to enhance our ministries to better serve our church family and community.

Encouraged by this generous gift, we formed a diverse group of 10 people to begin praying, planning, and imagining what God might have in store for FBCER’s next chapter. After several months of prayer and discussion, we were blessed to receive an additional $500,000 from the Lloyd Anderson Trust in 2024!

Now, after months of planning, discussion, and prayer, we are excited to share the dream God has placed on our hearts for Phase 2. We invite you to be part of what God is doing at FBCER as we seek to glorify Him by making disciples of Jesus Christ.

The projected cost for these additions is projected to be $3.5 to $4 million, reflecting rising costs since 2014. By God’s grace, we’re already over one-third of the way there! We anticipate needing to finance $2 to $2.5 million to complete the project, but we are committed to not exceeding $2.5 million and pray the final cost will be less.
